All AI in CropsBook runs on-device using Apple's on-device machine learning frameworks. Nothing about your farm — not your photos, crop records, or financial data — is ever sent to a cloud server for AI processing.

Farm Assistant

The Farm Assistant is an AI chat interface you can ask farming questions in plain language. Ask about crop spacing, pest identification, what to plant next, how to improve soil in a specific bed, or anything else about your growing operation. The assistant is aware of the crops and data you've entered, so it can give answers specific to your farm. PREMIUM

AI Document Scanner

Point your camera at a seed packet, receipt, certification document, or any farm-related paperwork. The AI Document Scanner reads the document and extracts the relevant data automatically — filling in your seed inventory, expense log, or document storage with the correct information. PREMIUM

AI Camera

Use the AI Camera to photograph a plant showing symptoms. The on-device vision model analyzes the image and identifies potential diseases, nutrient deficiencies, or pest damage. Results include the likely issue, confidence level, and suggested treatments. PREMIUM

Daily Briefing

Every morning, the Daily Briefing generates a personalized summary of your farm — what's due today, weather conditions, crops approaching harvest, and any anomalies detected overnight. It's a 30-second read that helps you prioritize your day before heading outside. PREMIUM

Health Anomaly Detection

Health Anomalies scans your crop records and photos for patterns that suggest a problem — unusual growth slowdowns, yield drops, or visual symptoms in photos. It surfaces issues you might not notice when managing a large number of crops at once. PREMIUM

The Planting Optimizer analyzes your current planting schedule and suggests succession planting adjustments to keep a more continuous supply of crops ready to harvest. It accounts for your frost dates, bed availability, and days-to-maturity data. PREMIUM

Live Weather

Live Weather provides real-time weather data for your farm location including current conditions, hourly forecast, disease pressure indicators, and growing degree day (GDD) accumulation. This feature requires an internet connection for weather data but processes all analysis on-device. PREMIUM

Yield Predictions

Yield Predictions uses your historical harvest data, current growth stages, and weather conditions to forecast how much you'll harvest from each crop over the coming weeks. Useful for planning market quantities and CSA box contents in advance. PREMIUM

Smart Irrigation

Smart Irrigation calculates ET-based (evapotranspiration) watering recommendations for each of your beds. It uses weather data and crop type to tell you how much to water and when — reducing overwatering and helping you maintain optimal soil moisture. PREMIUM

Field Health (NDVI)

Field Health uses satellite imagery to assess vegetation health across your growing areas using NDVI (Normalized Difference Vegetation Index). Green areas indicate healthy, vigorous growth. Problem areas show up as yellow or red, allowing you to investigate and intervene early. PREMIUM

Growth Tracker

The Growth Tracker creates a visual photo timeline for each crop, showing growth milestones and changes over time. Regular photos build a record that makes it easy to spot when something changed and correlate it with a weather event or treatment. PREMIUM
