Farm work runs on a constant stream of time-sensitive tasks — sowing seeds, transplanting, spraying, irrigating, harvesting. CropsBook's Tasks feature keeps your daily chore list organized and makes sure nothing slips through the cracks during a busy growing season.

Creating Tasks

Go to More → Operations → Tasks to create and manage your task list. Each task includes:

  • Task name — what needs to be done
  • Due date — when it needs to happen
  • Associated crop or bed — which part of the farm it relates to
  • Priority — to sort your daily list
  • Notes — any details or instructions

Mark tasks complete as you finish them. Completed tasks stay in the log so you have a record of what was done and when.

Notifications and Reminders

Go to More → Notifications to configure your alert preferences. CropsBook can send you notifications for:

  • Task due dates — get reminded the day before or the morning of
  • Planting windows — when a scheduled crop needs to go in the ground
  • Harvest windows — when a crop is approaching peak harvest readiness
  • Spray and treatment schedules
  • Equipment maintenance due dates
Set up morning notifications for your daily task list. Every morning, you'll get a summary of what's due today — no need to open the app to check.

Calendar Integration

With a Pro subscription, CropsBook syncs tasks and planting events to your device's native calendar (Apple Calendar on iPhone and iPad). PRO

Configure calendar sync in Settings → Calendar Settings. You can choose which types of events to sync:

  • Planting dates
  • Harvest windows
  • Task due dates
  • Spray schedules

Once synced, farm events appear in Apple Calendar, Siri, and any app that reads your device calendar.

The Farm Calendar View

The Farm Calendar (accessible from the Dashboard or More → Farm Management → Farm Calendar) gives you a unified calendar view of all events across the whole farm — tasks, plantings, expected harvests, and scheduled maintenance. It's the best way to see your entire week or month at a glance and spot scheduling conflicts before they happen.
